When you lower the car the angle of the steering arms is increased. The angle of increase causes the front wheels to toe out under bump conditions. Toe out condition increases tire wear and turning radius and upsets the car in corner entry and exit. The bump steer kit returns the angle of the steering arms to pararrell which give a zero bump steer correction.
