Carrillo Connecting Rods


Carrillo Rods is all we use, they are the best and they are expensive. And they have a new Gen 4 material that they can make a rod out of that is as light as a Titanium one but twice as strong. F1 has gone to the Gen 4 material because of the two race rule per motor. They need the durability of a steel rod but with the weight of Titanium. The K series engines accelerate faster meaning the rod has a lot more stress on it. More stress needs superior strength and design. Road race and street duty rods see more compression and extension forces on them than do drag racing ones. Carrillo Rods are design for each specific application depending on what it is being used for. HyTech also DLC coats its wrist pins for friction and durability. Doing this reduces the small end rod weight because there is no bushing.
