The current K series oil pump has gone through a series of factory modifications to try and reduce the cavitation at high engine speeds. The problem is the entrance to the pump. Flowing oil to the rotors has been the problem, and getting the oil into the engine from the pump. To reduce the restriction into the motor HyTech hand grinds each pump exit port to a generous radius to allow for better oil flow into the motor. Buy doing this it helps pull more oil into the pump rotors which is what the pump needs. Which help in supplying more oil to the rotors and engine.
