HyTech has two different types of valve train combinations. For the street we use a less expensive alternative of stainless valves, Ti Retainers and spring combinations. This set up uses the standard RSX Type S spring bases. For the race engines we use Ferrera Stainless/ Inconel valves or Del West Titanium units. We machine our own Ti Retainers and hardened spring bases. That go along with the state of the art IRL Indy car Valve springs. These springs uses the highest quality spring wire from Germany. HyTech also uses DLC coating on its valve stems and seat area, for the maximum in friction reducing coatings.
