Wiseco’s new strutted forgings has brought a whole new look to piston design and shape and most of all weight. We can get a piston weight down in the 200 gram region. HyTech finishes all of its pistons in house to accommodate any combustion chamber shape and to maximize the quench height and shape. We also use different ring pack depending on the application. We take great care in the piston dome shape and height. Flame travel is as important as compression ratio. To much piston dome and flame travel is poor which results in lower power and torque figures. We can run 91 octane pump gas with 12 .5 to 1 compression ratio using our dome and chamber shapes.
